New innovative solutions for combating explosives
As of 1 October 2009 NORAD has formed a partnership with the american company RedXDefence as sole distributor in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
NORAD is thus capable of delivering a new set of innovative tools for combating explosives. The RedXDefence product line covers security solutions for guest screening, vehicle and package screening as well as security management, says Sales Manager Klaus Langgaard Thomsen.
The XPAK-I system allows operators to collect and analyze trace explosives over a wide target area, record samples with barcode and GPS data, preserve samples for further forensics. Furthermore it is possible to download data and map it (geolocate) to quickly identify patterns of activity or "hot zones". The system is both a portable and robust unit that can be used under difficult climatical conditions and at the same time a very user friendly system that can be used by anyone after a few minutes of training.
The product range and solutions are well suited – and currently in active use - for both military, police and VIP protection purposes and thus fits perfectly with NORADs mission of delivering innovative, user friendly and technically advanced solutions for the protection of humans and assets, says Sales Manager Klaus Langgaard Thomsen.
